Primo® ‘Mahogany Monster’ commands attention with its massive, glossy leaves in rich mahogany red, forming a bold and substantial clump of foliage. Tall burgundy flower stems rise above the leaves, carrying soft light pink buds that open to elegant cream-colored blooms. This striking perennial is deer resistant and a magnet for butterflies and hummingbirds, making it as resilient as it is beautiful in the garden.

  • 12-16 inches tall and 22-28 inches wide at maturity
  • Scape height 32-38 inches
  • Hardy in zones 4-9, be sure to check your USDA zone to ensure success
  • Plant in sun or shade
  • Space plants 22-28 inches apart for best results
  • Produces light pink buds with cream flowers in mid summer

Very wilted. Half of the leaves crispy. After a 2-day soak in buckets, they revived and I planted them in the garden. Fingers crossed.

Plants came and I was very impressed!
They looked great and larger in size than expected.
Glad they were packed well since the delivery guy laid them on their side. I guess that he didn’t read “This Side Up” on the box.

Full, good looking plants. Plants came very well packaged and very little dirt at bottom of boxes, even though delivery driver placed them on their side on my porch.
