Introducing Incrediball Storm Proof™, the hydrangea that tackles one of the most common frustrations with the genus: floppy blooms. Unlike traditional smooth hydrangeas, which often struggle to hold their heavy flowers upright, this incredibly sturdy variety is built to withstand even the heaviest summer downpours. Its strong, resilient stems keep blooms standing tall—during and after a storm—ensuring your garden remains vibrant and intact no matter the weather. While the blooms aren't as large as those of the original Incrediball®, they're still impressively large in proportion to this more compact variety. And with an abundance of these stunning blooms, Incrediball Storm Proof™ easily lives up to its well-established reputation. This hydrangea boasts a robust, vigorous growth habit with a rounder, denser form than other smooth hydrangeas, making it a perfect choice for smaller spaces or those looking for a lower-maintenance yet high-impact plant. Whether you're a hydrangea enthusiast or a newcomer to the genus, Incrediball Storm Proof® is a must-have for your garden, delivering beauty and durability all season long.

Customers praised these hydrangeas for arriving with "beautiful blooms" and thriving after planting. Many noted healthy plants that survived extreme heat. However, shipping issues were common—packages arrived damaged, plants "tossed around," or wilted from heat exposure. Some received undersized gallon plants or experienced plant death shortly after arrival, requiring refunds.

Incrediball Storm Proof Panicle Hydrangea arrived in good condition. Temperatures at my home were still in the high 90s, so conditions were not good for planting. I uppotted the planted and placed it in indirect light. It is thriving. I am eager for the weather to cool down so I can plant it in the my garden.

Beautiful and thriving!!😊

It came cut down and sick. It has been an awful experience.

Thank you for sharing your review of your Incrediball Storm Proof™ Smooth Hydrangea. We're happy to replace it or issue store credit if you wish. :) Please respond to this email and let us know which works best for you!

Additionally, your original hydrangea will be just fine once it is planted and watered. Proven Winners plants are very resilient and typically bounce back. The vast majority of plants recover quickly once they are unpacked and planted.

Incrediball Storm Proof™ Smooth Hydrangea (arborescens) | Proven Winners® New Variety 2026

I had been strongly considering the standard Incrediball hydrangeas that Proven Winners had offered, but had waited to pull the trigger due to their larger size being too big for the space I was looking to have them in. When Proven Winners announced a stronger stemmed, slightly more compact version of the Incrediball— I was sold.

I ordered these in the quart size. They came in and looked tiny, but don’t worry, they’ll take off the second they go into the ground. I have them spaced a touch closer than recommended due to wanting to create a formal hedge. So far they’re growing well. I’m in southern Kentucky zone (7A). They are planted in an area that gets afternoon full sun and are not wilting like my big leaf/‘macrophylla’ do (despite being planted in the shade). I was afraid these might do that as well, but they haven’t. I will say that I’ve kept them watered well and I’d imagine they would suffer without adequate watering.

Thank you for sharing your review of Incrediball Storm Proof™ Smooth Hydrangeas. We're so happy to hear that you are enjoying your plants!

Sincerely,
PWD Team

The Hydrangea boxes arrived damaged—dented, torn, and on their sides—in violation of instructions to keep them upright. Soil spilled, creating a mess. Many stems were broken, blooms battered, and leaves scattered. The plants looked wilted and neglected. Additionally, the individual pots had lost most of their soil during transit, forcing me to refill with better potting soil. I like Proven Winner, but this isn't their best work.

Im very disappointed in the flowers i recived. I ordered 7 plants for my parents home while in in town and they came in one box on top of each other. They didnt last a day. I sent in pictures and requested a refund last week and I’m still waiting for a response before i leave town.

The gallon size look great when arrived. Even in the extreme heat of July, they arrived in good condition. They already have several large flowers on each of them.

The flower that I received died after one day of planting it. It arrived from FedEx dying from the heat in the truck. I planted the flower the next morning water it , put fresh soil, water it and put mulch around it. By early evening the flowers were dead. I bought the flower to dedicate it for my late wife who loved the plant. I followed the directions but didn’t survive. I may have to reorder it next spring if i have any money left. Left me disappointed on it.

The plants were great but got pretty tossed around in the shipping process. Definitely a carrier issue.
