Superbena Peachy Keen displays vigorous soft peach-colored flowers all season. With a mounding-trailing habit, they function as both spillers and fillers in combination planters and are best planted at the front of landscape beds. It is heat tolerant, resists deer, and attracts butterflies. 

  • 6-12 inches tall and 18-24 inches wide at maturity
  • Annual except in zones 8-11, be sure to check your USDA zone to ensure success
  • Plant in part to full sun (4+ hours daily)
  • Space plants 8-12 inches apart for best results
  • Produces orange flowers with peach, apricot and cream tones from planting to frost
  • Maintains green foliage in a mounding, trailing habit spring to frost
  • Great for borders, containers, edging, landscapes, mass planting
  • Attracts butterflies and resists deer
  • Heat and drought tolerant, long blooming, deadheading not necessary, fall interest

Care: Fertilize weekly with Proven Winners Water Soluble Plant Food for best performance. Prune to shape as desired throughout the season.

Verbena survived and is thriving

It’s doing well. I’ve noticed PR packing is not as secure as previously experienced. I’ve place 2 orders this year, and neither order had the added protection for soil spillage from pots, both orders had soil out of pots and spread throughout the boxes. This order of verbena managed to survive! The other order of 2 white butterfly bushes were in such bad condition, they never made it to the flower bed even after immediate opening and delicate care.

Superbena® Peachy Keen Verbena

I was so excited for the peachy keen verbena but the rabbits ate it all in 2 days. I had previously purchased a voodoo star verbena from a nursery and it is doing beautifully, the rabbits don't touch it. But they love the peachy keen as well as the pink cashmere verbena. So if you have rabbits, I do not recommend.

This plant was the weakest of all I ordered. But it’s the end of season and to be expected. We have enough warm days left to plant and it will be fine next spring.

I ordered this variety on 3 different occasions this season. All 4 of the plants died within a few days from arriving. They seemed to have mildew.

I ordered 2 plants. Both were mushy and gross. I did my best to clean them up and allow them to dry out. Only one survived. The survivor is slowly recovering. I think it may grow out of it.
