Whirlwind® White is a versatile and beautiful plant that features pure white flowers all season long, paired with lush green foliage. Once established, it is heat and drought tolerant, thriving in a variety of conditions with minimal care. Attracting bees, it’s an excellent choice for pollinator-friendly gardens and does not require deadheading for continuous blooms. Perfect for both containers and landscapes, Whirlwind® White is also ideal for combination planters, adding a fresh, clean look to any outdoor space with its enduring beauty and low-maintenance appeal.

  • 8-14 inches tall and 18-24 inches wide at maturity
  • Annual except in zones 10-11
  • Plant in full sun (6+ hours daily)
  • Space plants 10-12 inches apart for best results
  • Produces white flowers from planting to frost
  • Maintains green foliage spring through frost
  • Great for containers, edging, groundcover, landscapes
  • Attracts bees
  • Heat tolerant, drought tolerant, long blooming, low maintenance, deadheading not necessary

The Eco+Grande features nutrients embedded in the container walls, which help plants grow bigger and faster throughout the season when planted in the ground. Be sure to remove the tabs from the container before planting. If you choose to plant in a container, we recommend taking the plant out of the Eco+Grande, breaking it apart, and mixing it into the soil at the time of planting. When the Proven Winners Eco+Grande container is discarded in the garbage can, it will naturally break down faster in a landfill than a traditional petroleum made container. The container will get smaller and smaller until microbes consume it, turning it back into an inert organic product. Learn more about this in our blog.

Care: Fertilize weekly with Proven Winners Water Soluble Plant Food for best performance.

Unfortunately the Scaevola was one of the three plants that did not survive. I got it planted but it did not bounce back. The coleus and superbena arrived in great shape. Thanks for asking.

They are slow growing and I'm not giving up hope that they will be great performers.

Ok. Didn’t look too good when I received it. Hopefully it will look better soon.

Unfortunately, when my plants arrived the white scavola was saturated much more than the other plants and did not make it.
