Double Play® Candy Corn Spirea is the epitome of effortless beauty with its vibrant, multi-toned foliage that transitions from yellow to orange to red, creating a stunning display all season long. Known for being blissfully low-maintenance, this variety naturally forms a neat, rounded shape without the need for pruning. If you prefer, a light trim after the blooms fade will encourage even more colorful new growth. Deer and rabbits typically ignore Double Play® Candy Corn, and after a year or two in the ground, it becomes quite drought-tolerant, making it a perfect choice for both beauty and practicality in your landscape.

Customers praised these spireas as "beautiful" with stunning "candy corn colors" - golden yellow leaves with red-orange tips. Most arrived healthy and well-packaged, thriving after planting. However, some reported shipping damage, struggling plants in extreme heat, or arrival issues. Plants show excellent cold hardiness and bloom beautifully. Fast delivery noted.

Double Play® Candy Corn® Spirea never disappoint.

I planted four Double Play® Candy Corn® Spirea in the front bed three years ago and they have been so beautiful, especially this Spring, that I decided to add four more on the opposite side of the entryway. They arrived in superb condition, in a very timely manner, and I am thrilled with them.

Thank you so much for taking the time to leave a review for our Double Play® Candy Corn® Spirea. We are thrilled to hear that they have been a beautiful addition to your front bed for the past three years and that you decided to add more to your entryway. We take pride in delivering our products in superb condition and in a timely manner. Thank you for your support!

Double Play® Candy Corn® Spirea (Spiraea japonica)

I had planned on waiting til spring to order these shrubs, but when they went on sale I took the opportunity to grab two of them. I was taking a chance since I would be planting them during the first week of November in zone 7b. They did arrive looking kind of shaggy since it is the end of the season, but they appeared to be stout. To my surprise, we had some leaves pop out after being in the ground for about a week. I am looking forward to the show come spring.

Beautiful and thriving!! Thank you for sharing your photos with us!😊

3 of the 4 plants look great, the 4th doesn't look very good and actually looked damaged in shipping possibly. Not sure if you can tell by the picture, but you can see in the distance the other three look healthy and upright, whereas the close one is basically lying on the ground lifeless.

Thank you for sharing!! We're happy to hear you are enjoying your shrubs 😍 We are sorry to see regards to your one Double Play Candy Corn. Please, respond to this email and we would be happy to set up a replacement to be sent, or issue store credit.

Candy Corn Spirea

It arrived not looking so great so I took it and the two other plants that looked better and fertilized and repotted them with new soil and watered. The candy corn spirea is still struggling from the 100* days but it’ll make it, I’m babying it and see a couple new leaves popping out. Had to trim a lot of dead branches back. My two other plants look great.
I’m sure it’s due to shipping, at least the FedEx guy didn’t have the “live plants” box upside down this time.😤🫣

This is my favorite color Spirea

This is my favorite color Spirea. Deer did eat them last year, but I relocated two shrubs to a fenced area. They survived being buried in snow and came back strong, offering pretty red foliage in spring. I bought new shrubs this year and they also did well, surviving late frost and 90s temps better than my other Spirea
