Meet Summerific® 'Perfect Storm' – the perfect way to make a statement in your sunny garden! Standing at 3 feet tall, this stunning beauty demands attention with its striking 7-8” wide white blooms. Each flower features a captivating red eye, radiating veins of vibrant color, while soft pink edges delicately frame the petals. Enjoy this showstopper from late summer through early fall, as it adds a burst of color to your garden just when you need it most. As a proud North American native, 'Perfect Storm' brings tropical beauty all the way to zone 4. Though it emerges a little later in spring than some perennials, it quickly makes up for it with fast growth, adding up to an inch of new growth per day. A true garden star, this hardy hibiscus is the perfect way to brighten up your landscape as the season winds down, ensuring your garden stays full of life and color until the very end!

  • 36 inches tall and 54-60 inches wide at maturity
  • Hardy in zones 4-9, be sure to check your USDA zone to ensure success
  • Plant in part to full sun (6+ hours daily)
  • Space plants 54-60 inches apart for best results
  • Produces white flowers with red eye and soft pink edges from mid-summer to fall
  • Maintains purple-black foliage from late spring to frost
  • Great for borders, landscapes and focal point
  • Attracts hummingbirds and bees and resists deer
  • Bog plant, native to North America, fall interest

Care: Hibiscus love the sun and need moist, well-drained soil. Keeping these plants watered will result in larger flowers and lush foliage. Deadheading will improve the appearance of the plant, but is not necessary for continued bloom. It is best to plant Hibiscus in the garden before the heat of the summer arrives, and should be heavily mulched the first winter. In spring, cut back any remaining stems before new growth appears. Do not trim back in fall. A strong pair of loppers or a saw will be necessary to cut this plant back. Be advised that Hibiscus is always one of the last perennials to emerge in spring. Be patient, even if you think it is dead, it most likely isn't. Its vigorous growth rate more than makes up for this late start, however. Japanese beetles find these plants especially delicious. Fertilize with Proven Winners Continuous Release Plant Food in spring and mid-summer.
