Proud Berry® Pink coralberry makes it unbelievably easy to fill your landscape with these unique pink berries, guaranteed to turn heads. Cute, rounded, bluish-green leaves look handsome all season, then, in late summer, bell-shaped flowers appear. As the season changes to autumn, the flowers develop into large dark pink berries, the color intensifying with cold weather. As pretty as it is, this North American native is also amazingly tough, effortlessly fending off deer, cold weather, and problem soils. The fruit is not edible, but may be eaten by birds in mid-late winter. This plant makes an excellent cut flower for fall arrangements.

  • 3-4 feet tall and 3-4 feet wide at maturity
  • Hardy in zones 3-7, be sure to check your USDA zone to ensure success
  • Plant in part to full sun (4+ hours daily)
  • Space plants 3-4 feet apart for best results
  • Produces bell-shaped flowers starting in summer that give way to large dark pink berries in the fall
  • Maintains rounded, bluish-green leaves from spring through fall on an upright habit
  • Great for borders, cut flowers, screening, landscapes, mass plantings, focal points, erosion control
  • Native to North America, long blooming, fall interest, decorative berries, deadheading not necessary

Care:  Fertilize with Proven Winners Continuous Release Plant Food in spring and mid summer. Prune back by half its total height in late winter/early spring. Remove the oldest, thickest stems every 4-5 years to encourage vigorous young growth. Cut them back all the way to the ground.

It is slowly dying. I have been trying everything I know to help it along. I think it will be dead within a matter of a week or so. I have been gardening for over 45 years. I know what I am doing. This is not viable. I will not be purchasing from PW if this is what I can expect, sadly.

Ordered 3 Coralberry, will they make it?

Ordered 3 of these, all 3 showing signs of stress. I cut them back a bit and carefully watering. Hope they rebound. Half (or so’ of each shrub has browning leaves.

A large, robust plant. Since it is late in the season, I quickly planted. Can't wait to see it leaf out next spring!

Second try to see if this plant survives. Freese got the last one! Plant arrived with tips damaged by heat, box was quite beat up. This speaks well of Fed Ex care.

Very healthy now. The packet says deer-proof but deer pulled it all the way out of the ground on one of the first days. It’s in the ground in the same spot and hasn’t been eaten again, so maybe the deer was just angry the first time.
