Tag, you’re it! Heucherella 'Shadow Tag' is here to brighten up your shady spots with a bold burst of color and irresistible charm. With silver-kissed green leaves and dark burgundy centers that radiate like starbursts, this beauty plays a game of contrast that’s hard to ignore. Come late spring, she ups the ante with sprays of bubblegum pink flowers that dance above the foliage like confetti—no sunshine required.

A hybrid of Heuchera and Tiarella, ‘Shadow Tag’ takes the best of both worlds: vibrant foliage from Heuchera, dramatic leaf patterns and lobed edges from Tiarella. The result? A hard-working, longer-blooming, shade-loving showstopper that holds its color right through to the end of the season. Semi-evergreen in mild climates and sterile for extended bloom, this plant doesn’t just play well with others—it steals the scene.

  • 10-12 inches tall and 16-18 inches wide at maturity
  • Hardy in zones 4-9, be sure to check your USDA zone to ensure success
  • Plant in part to full shade, with best performance occurring when planted in partial shade. Some varieties can withstand full sun in the north with consistent moisture.
  • Space plants 16-18 inches apart for best results
  • Produces bubblegum pink flowers in late spring on scapes proportionate in size to the plant
  • Maintains green foliage with silver overlay and dark burgundy centers and veining spring through hard frost, evergreen where winters are mild
