Introducing Perfecto Mundo® Double White azalea – the azalea that redefines perfection! With its neat, rounded shape and deep green foliage, this compact beauty is a stunning sight all season long. In spring, it’s covered with sophisticated double white blooms that add a touch of elegance to your garden. But the magic doesn’t stop there – after a brief rest, it bursts back into bloom in mid-summer, continuing to showcase its pure, true white flowers through the frost. Perfecto Mundo® Double White azalea offers the best of both worlds: a long-lasting bloom period and big, full flowers with vibrant, true colors, making it a must-have for your landscape!
- 2.5-3 feet tall and 3-4 feet wide at maturity
- Hardy in zones 6-9, be sure to check your USDA zone to ensure success
- Plant in full sun to part sun (6+ to 4 hours daily)
- Space plants 3-4 feet apart for best results
- Produces sophisticated white flowers in spring that take a brief rest and continue blooming again in mid-summer through frost
- Maintains green foliage year-round in a mounded habit
- Great for borders, edging, landscapes, mass plantings, focal points
- Heat tolerant, rebloomer, fall interest
Care: Fertilize with Proven Winners Continuous Release Plant Food just as the new growth begins to emerge, and then again after the spring bloom is complete. Give the plant a light trim after its spring bloom, which encourages new growth - the more new growth it puts on after that spring bloom, the more rebloom you'll get.
A note on hardiness: Perfecto Mundo Epic Pink® azalea is hardy to USDA zone 6b, and is better suited to milder coastal areas of zone 6b than harsh Midwestern sites. If you wish to plant it in zone 6b, select a protected location and mulch well. Do not fertilize after mid-July in these areas. If you do wish to fertilize, do so in early spring, just as the new growth begins to emerge, and then again after the spring bloom is complete.
