Introducing Perfecto Mundo® Double Pink – the evergreen shrub that doubles the beauty! Covered in showy, double pink blooms in spring, this neat, rounded beauty takes a brief rest before bursting into a second round of vibrant flowers in mid-summer, continuing all the way through frost. Its stunning blooms are paired perfectly with deep green foliage, creating a lush backdrop for its vibrant display. Resistant to lace bugs, this hardy shrub thrives with ease, bringing reliable, long-lasting color to your garden. Perfecto Mundo® Double Pink is the ultimate in effortless elegance and season-long blooms!
- 2-3 feet tall and wide at maturity
- Hardy in zones 6-9, be sure to check your USDA zone to ensure success
- Plant in part to full sun (4+ hours daily)
- Space plants 2-3 feet apart for best results
- Produces double pink flowers in the spring then again mid-summer and continues through frost
- Maintains green foliage year round
- Great for borders, edges, landscapes, mass planting and focal point
- Heat tolerant, reblooming, fall interest
Care: Fertilize with Proven Winners Continuous Release Plant Food just as the new growth begins to emerge, and then again after the spring bloom is complete. Give the plant a light trim after its spring bloom, which encourages new growth - the more new growth it puts on after that spring bloom, the more rebloom you'll get.
A note on hardiness: Perfecto Mundo Epic Pink® azalea is hardy to USDA zone 6b, and is better suited to milder coastal areas of zone 6b than harsh Midwestern sites. If you wish to plant it in zone 6b, select a protected location and mulch well. Do not fertilize after mid-July in these areas. If you do wish to fertilize, do so in early spring, just as the new growth begins to emerge, and then again after the spring bloom is complete.
