A classic variety you may remember from your childhood. Beefsteak Heirloom Tomato from Proven Selections have a stronger tomato flavor than other varieties while still providing the lovely juicy texture we know. Grow in gardens, raised beds, or containers with a little support and best used fresh - sliced, diced, perfect on sandwiches, or even straight up with just a pinch of salt.

The Eco+Grande features nutrients embedded in the container walls, which help plants grow bigger and faster throughout the season when planted in the ground. Be sure to remove the tabs from the container before planting. If you choose to plant in a container, we recommend taking the plant out of the Eco+Grande, breaking it apart, and mixing it into the soil at the time of planting. When the Proven Winners Eco+Grande container is discarded in the garbage can, it will naturally break down faster in a landfill than a traditional petroleum made container. The container will get smaller and smaller until microbes consume it, turning it back into an inert organic product. Learn more about this in our blog.

Care: Fertilize weekly with Proven Winners Water Soluble Plant Food for best performance. Grow in the landscape or in a 16" to 20" diameter pot or larger with a cage or staking. Consistent watering and regular fertilization will be key to keeping your plant in full production mode. These plants will produce tomatoes for an extended period of time and thrives in heat and humidity. Fruit ripens in about 75 days.
