Mr. Mustard boasts extraordinarily colorful foliage - yellow, orange, red, pink, and lime green meld together in springtime to make a truly memorable show. By summertime, the foliage mellows to a vibrant Kelly green and complements the fabulous creamy white flowers. These large, astilbe-like blooms attract pollinators and its habit lends a naturalized look to any garden.

  • 2-3 feet tall and 3-4 feet wide at maturity
  • Hardy in zones 2-7, be sure to check your USDA zone to ensure success
  • Plant in full to part sun (4+ hours daily)
  • Space plants 3-4 feet apart for best results
  • Produces white flowers during summer
  • Maintains green-yellow-red-orange-pink foliage from spring to frost
  • Blooms on old wood
  • Great for groundcover, landscapes, mass plantings, informal plantings
  • Attracts bees and butterflies
  • Foliage interest, adaptable, cold tolerant
  • Shrubs shipped Nov-Apr will arrive dormant; shrubs shipped Apr-Oct will arrive green or in bloom

Care: Remove suckers annually if you'd like to keep expansion contained. Habit is attractive unpruned, but if desired, trim back in spring after it has flowered.
