Care Information
- Temperature: For optimal performance, keep at 60-85°F (15-29°C).
- Light: Spider plants prefer bright areas but direct sunlight can scorch the leaves, a well-lit windowsill or patio door with indirect sun are good options.
- Humidity: They need moderate to high levels of humidity with leaf damage occurring when humidity levels drop. A pebble tray may help add humidity if needed, but a humidifier is a better option.
- Water Frequency: Spider plants also prefer to have moist, but not wet soils. Water when the top two to three inches of soil are dry. Do not allow the plant to sit in water over extended periods of time.
- Soil: Add some perlite and/or orchid bark to help fluff up the potting mix and provide better drainage.
- Growing: Feed once per month at half strength when plant is actively growing.
