Because it produces very few cones, it channels more energy into growth, outpacing many other options. Its naturally uniform shape needs little to no pruning, and as a North American native species, it brings impressive cold hardiness to the landscape.
- 20-30 feet tall and 6-10 feet wide at maturity
- Hardy in zones 2-9, be sure to check your USDA zone to ensure success
- Plant in full to part sun (4+ hours daily)
