Limelight Hydrangea has huge, football-shaped flowers that open in an elegant celadon green that looks fresh and clean in summer's heat. The blooms age to an array of pink, red, and burgundy which persists through frost for months of irresistible flowers. A long-time favorite of professional florists, it also makes an excellent cut flower, fresh or dried. It is drought tolerant and blooms every year, even in cold climates.
- 6-8 feet tall and wide at maturity
- Grow in zones 3-9
- Plant in part sun (4+ hours daily) in southern climates and part to full sun in northern climates.
Care: Requires well-drained soil that does not remain soggy for any amount of time. To prune, simply cut back by one-third of its total height every spring. Fertilize with Proven Winners Continuous Release Plant Food in spring and mid-summer.
