This eye-catching plant produces an abundance of clear pink, double flowers throughout the summer, creating a graceful color-on-color effect that enhances any landscape. Its compact size makes it perfect for smaller spaces, while its non-seeding nature ensures low-maintenance beauty. Sugar Tip® is an ideal choice for adding vibrant color and texture to gardens, all season long.

  • Hardy in zones 5-7, be sure to check your USDA zone to ensure success
  • Plant in full sun (6+ hours daily)
  • Space plants 5-8 feet apart for best results
  • Produces double pink flowers throughout summer
  • Maintains green and creamy-white variegated foliage spring to frost
  • Blooms on new wood

  • Attracts bees, butterflies and hummingbirds while resisting deer
  • Heat, drought and salt tolerant, long blooming, low maintenance

Our deciduous shrubs are entering their natural dormancy phase. As part of this process, foliage is turning colors, drying out, and falling off—this is completely normal! Shedding leaves helps the plants conserve energy and prepare for the next growing season. Rest assured, your shrubs will wake up and thrive again when it's time in your growing zone. Dormancy is how they prepare for a healthy, vibrant comeback as the seasons change!

Care: Fertilize with Proven Winners Continuous Release Plant Food in spring and mid-summer. Requires well-draining soil. Regular pruning is not necessary. If any shaping is desired, do so in early spring. Note that Rose of Sharon is quite late to leaf out in spring, so be patient with it.

I ordered 4 different rose of Sharon they weren’t labeled so I don’t know which is which. They were real small one had some leaves and looked good one just a few leaves and the other 2 just stick. It’s like I was given 2 nice ones to make up the 2 that aren’t. Thank you, Kathy

All plants I ordered looked good/seemed to travel well. Being in Arizona, the weather is perfect for Spring planting now. The only unexpected thing is that I received a Rouge Paraplu Hibiscus instead of a Pink Chiffon Rose of Sharon. I planted the Rouge Paraplu anyway.

I have had a Sugar Tips Rose of Sharon in my garden for several years. Its branch structure, variegated leaves and the abundant and lovely shade of pink flowers are very striking. I attempted to add another to my garden last year but was shipped a mis-labeled plant that I believe to be White Chiffon. I have relocated it and so ordered another Sugar Tips. The plant is dormant so can’t truly know if it is as labeled but is well rooted and well branched.

I just got them, at this moment I’m growing them in pots and waiting until they grow a bit more so I can plant them in the grown. Love the plants I got from Proven Winners.
