The North Pole Arborvitae look great

The North Pole Arborvitae look great. Proven Winners Direct does not ship to Alaska so I had them sent to my family in Washington. They dropped them off at Alaska Cargo and I received them the next day. I am super excited to start building a privacy and noise barrier screen along the road side of the property.

North Pole® Arborvitae (Thuja occidentalis)

What I received bears no resemblance to the lovely plants depicted in the photos. My order was a collection of broken branches and drooping foliage. This is the 3rd time that I have ordered from PW and it will be my last. I spent a reasonable amount trying to provide landscaping to my yard - these gems will set me back 2-3 years on my initial timeline.

Thank you for sharing your review of your North Pole® Arborvitae. We're sorry to hear this and are happy to help! Please reply to this email with photos of the plant and we can further assist you.

North Pole® Arborvitae (Thuja occidentalis)

Ordering from Proven Winners was one of my better ideas! My North Pole arrived looking just as good as if I had purchased it from a local nursery—if I could have found it! This makes it so convenient and my tree arrived safe and sound.

Thank you for sharing!! We're so happy to hear that you are enjoying your North Pole® Arborvitae! :)

North Pole® Arborvitae (Thuja occidentalis)

The "North Pole" Arborvitae arrived in excellent condition on December 29. Because the ground is frozen, it and the two "Fluffy" arbs that arrived in the same shipment are wintering in an unheated room in front of a wide, south-facing window. I will soon check for root condition and pot them on if they're root bound, then they'll go into the garden when the ground thaws in spring. I've had success with this procedure in the past so don't envision any problems this go-around.

Mary,

Thank you for sharing!!

We're happy to hear you are enjoying your plants :)

These will make wonderful additions in spring to your garden :)

Are they drought tolerant for TX heat. I’m in zone 8

Are they deer resistant also?

Proven Winners Direct™

They are neither drought tolerant nor deer resistant. You can try using a deer repellent, though deer will eat almost anything if they are hungry enough.

hello, what is the growth rate of Thuja occidentalis?

Proven Winners Direct™

Thank you for reaching out, we are happy to help! Growth rates of the various plant classifications are estimated based on the plant being placed in ideal conditions with good fertility, adequate moisture, and planted properly. In ideal conditions, you can expect about 1-2 feet of growth each year. Hope this helps! Let us know if you have any further questions! Sincerely, PWD Team
