Interstella® Lily of the Valley displays out of this world lantern-like blooms that are delicately colored with a deep ruby tone. It is one of the earliest blooming plants, starting its display of beautiful, bell-like flowers in late winter/ early spring. And there are hundreds of them, dangling delicately from fine stems against a gorgeous evergreen backdrop.

  • 3-4 feet tall and wide at maturity
  • Hardy in zones 5-8, be sure to check your USDA zone to ensure success
  • Plant in part to full sun (4+ hours daily)
  • Space plants 3-4 feet apart for best results
  • Maintains green and red foliage year-round
  • Produces lantern-like blooms in a deep ruby tone blooming from late winter to late spring
  • Blooms on old wood
  • Great for borders, landscapes, mass plantings, specimen or focal points

The product looked very poor upon arrival and lost some.

I was eagerly awaiting my order and met the delivery person in the driveway. Upon arrival my plants looked very poor. I was shocked knowing the reputation of Proven Winners. I lost 5 plants total. The pieris looked the worst upon arrival and I knew would not make it.

Interstella® Lily of the Valley Shrub (Pieris japonica)

This is a new plant to me but looked so intriguing I couldn’t resist. It says they like full sun and are deer resistant so it’s out back in the sun all day and so far, for two weeks, the deer haven’t touched it! It’s right beside their little drinking pond and once it grows in, it’s going to be so pretty out there!
