Limelight Prime® Hydrangea is an improved, more refined ‘Limelight’, with darker leaves, stronger stems, a more compact habit, and upright growth. It makes a great container plant. The blooms emerge a vivid lime-green and maintain that color until they transition into a bubblegum pink and then a deep punch pink. It also makes an excellent cut flower, fresh or dried. It is drought tolerant and blooms every year, even in cold climates.

  • 4-6 feet tall and 4-5 feet wide at maturity
  • Hardy in zones 3-8, be sure to check your USDA zone to ensure success
  • Plant in part sun (4+ hours daily) in southern climates and part to full sun in northern climates
  • Space plants 4-5 feet apart for best results
  • Produces green flowers throughout summer transitioning to fruit punch pink in fall
  • Maintains green foliage spring to frost
  • Blooms on new wood
  • Great for border, container, cut flower, dried flower, screening, landscape, mass planting, specimen or focal point
  • Salt tolerant, fall interest

Care:  Fertilize with Proven Winners Continuous Release Plant Food in spring and mid-summer. Prefers well-drained soil that does not remain soggy for any amount of time. To prune, simply cut back by one-third of its total height every spring, just as new growth begins to emerge on stems. Make cuts just about 1/4 of an inch above a bud. Dead or damaged wood can be removed at any time.
