Please note: Our Ships Now shrubs are still waking up from dormancy! In the spring, shrubs begin to emerge from dormancy with swelling buds and potentially new growth as temperatures rise and daylight hours increase. Most dormant shrubs start leafing out in April, depending on the specific plant and local weather conditions.

Invincibelle Wee White® blooms emerge as a soft, blush pink before changing to crisp white. These blooms are held up on a strong, supportive stem for a display that looks more like a bouquet of flowers than a landscape plant. Blooming begins in early summer and continues through frost, with new flowers appearing the whole time. With a dwarf habit, this tiny and tidy hydrangea variety can work in many applications across landscapes, gardens, containers, and more.

  • 1-2.5 feet tall and wide at maturity
  • Hardy in zones 3-8, be sure to check your USDA zone to ensure success
  • Plant in part sun (4+ hours daily) in southern climates and part to full sun in northern climates
  • Space plants 1-2.5 feet apart for best results
  • Produces white flowers throughout summer
  • Maintains green foliage spring to frost
  • Blooms on new wood
  • Great for borders, containers, edging, landscapes, hedges, cut and dried flowers
  • Native to North America, heat tolerant, long blooming

Care:  Fertilize with Proven Winners Continuous Release Plant Food in spring and mid-summer. Prefers well-drained soil that does not remain soggy for any amount of time. To prune, simply cut back by one-third of its total height every spring, just as new growth begins to emerge on stems. Make cuts just about 1/4 of an inch above a bud. Dead or damaged wood can be removed at any time.

They arrived pretty frizzled. Almost every leaf has dropped. Not sure if they had already been frosted before shipping or were frozen in transit. I knew it was too late for them to go out but I thought they would be in better shape. I have space so they will spend the winter inside and hopefully they will recover

Hi Beth,

Thank you for sharing your review of your Invincibelle Wee White® Smooth Hydrangeas. This is the time of year where shrubs are going dormant, so it is completely normal if your hydrangeas do not have leaves on them! We would still be happy to take a look at them if you'd like. If so, please send photos of their current condition so we can further assist you.

To overwinter them, follow the steps below for the best chances of success:

Re-pot your plants into a larger pots and keep them in an unheated garage, shed, or basement with a temperature range between 30 and 40 degrees until Spring. You will need to water them occasionally, about once a month, to keep the roots moist until spring or whenever you notice the soil becoming too dry. They will not need access to sunlight until you plant them in the Spring when there is no more possibility of a frost.

Let us know if you have any further questions!

Sincerely,
PWD Team

I would like to know why these are called white, or why none of mine or white. I have had four or five and they are a light beige, perhaps. I’m really disappointed.

Got these quart sized hydrangea the end of July and most of them are already flowering now at the beginningof September! Ordered a few more for other spots in my yard. Very pleased with these plants.
