Rise Up Amberness® rose is elegance in motion, its flowers appearing almost sculpted with layers of wavy amber petals that embrace the classic orange rosebud form. As they open fully, a circle of golden stamens glows at the center, completing the picture of warmth and refinement. Each bloom is richly fragrant, perfuming the garden with ease, and appears in generous succession all summer long—no deadheading required. As part of the Rise Up® series—the first-ever climbing roses from Proven Winners ColorChoice Shrubs—Rise Up Amberness® offers all the romance of a climbing rose, but in a more manageable, compact habit. These “mini climbers” bring timeless rose beauty with modern reliability, combining exquisite form, fragrance, and garden performance into one irresistible package.

  • 3-5 feet tall and 2-3 feet wide at maturity
  • Hardy in zones 4-9, be sure to check your USDA zone to ensure success
  • Plant in full sun (6+ hours daily)
  • Space plants 2-3 feet apart for best results
  • Produces fragrant, wavy amber flowers during summer
  • Maintains green foliage spring to fall
  • Blooms on new wood
  • Great for borders, containers, cut flowers, foundation plantings, hedges, mass plantings
  • Attracts bees, butterflies and resists disease
  • Long blooming
  • Shrubs shipped Nov-Apr will arrive dormant; shrubs shipped Apr-Oct will arrive green or in bloom

Care: Fertilize with Proven Winners Continuous Release Plant Food in spring and mid-summer. To keep it looking great, simply prune back by at least one third its total height each early spring, just as the new buds begin to emerge on the stems. Make your cut just above a thick, healthy bud, as these produce the most vigorous growth. This rose does not need deadheading in order to keep blooming.
