Must have for pollinators and hummingbird garden

I have recently become interested in adding (non-invasive) honeysuckles to my pollinator/hummingbird garden. I had found some plants with beautiful color variation for the flowers, but Kintzley’s Ghost has beautiful flowers, and striking leaves. The leaves look a lot like eucalyptus in shape and color. I can’t wait to see the vibrant yellow flowers up against the bluish grey/green leaves, hopefully next spring or summer. The new plant is growing well so far, excited for what it will look like after it gets established.

I was shocked at the shipping cost of this plant

I was shocked at the shipping cost of this plant. When it arrived in the huge and complex box, I realized it could have been drop kicked across the country banging against every wall and not injure any of the delicate new growth; it was worth every penny. It arrived in perfect condition and continues to grow and is so happy and healthy.

We're so glad to hear that your Kintzley's Ghost® Honeysuckle arrived in perfect condition and is thriving. We understand that shipping costs can be surprising, but we take extra care in packaging our plants to ensure they arrive safely. Thank you for choosing our product and happy planting!

Kintzley's Ghost® Honeysuckle (Lonicera reticulata)

The three Kinsley ghost honeysuckle arrived with maybe an inch of green. one was so small. I figured it was dead, but I guess they’re Hardy growers and I now have a few leaves so they will survive. Be prepared for a very small plant, which was extremely dry when I got it.

Failed to thrive.
Some tiny leaves emerged, but then the plant stalled out and now the bark is sliding off.
So disappointed.

Kintzley's Ghost® Honeysuckle (Lonicera reticulata)

Do let this plant fool you. Although I love the plant it is not the typical honeysuckle vine. The branches are not flexible and are more like small tree branches that do not climb up a trellis. I tied it to the trellis thinking it would attach to it but it doesn't. It grew outward and now I cannot bend the branches to attach the new growth on to the trellis. It is pretty and care free but has strange growth habit.

Thank you for your review! 😊

I'm in zone 9b...just south of specified zone. Will this plant tolerate humid conditions with more shade?

Proven Winners Direct™

Kintlzley''s Ghost is hardy in zones 4-8. You can trial and error in zone 9 if you choose! If you do, we recommend (more shade) north side of home would be best.

Is kinzley ghost honeysuckle a fast grower?

Proven Winners Direct™

Thank you for reaching out, we are happy to help! Growth rates of the various plant classifications are estimated based on the plant being placed in ideal conditions with good fertility, adequate moisture, and planted properly. In ideal conditions, you can expect about 1-2 feet of growth each year.

Hope this helps! Let us know if you have any further questions!

Sincerely,
PWD Team
