Turn up the drama in your container gardens with Superbells® Double Midnight Magenta. This show-stopping calibrachoa features large, fully double blooms in an intense, velvety magenta. For an extra punch of rich color, each flower is inked with a deep magenta-red center, giving the blossoms a multi-dimensional, luxurious look that resembles miniature roses. Engineered for peak performance, its slightly looser, mounded trailing habit makes it the ultimate team player for combinations. It beautifully fills out the top of containers before cascading gracefully over the edges, keeping your displays looking lush and full all season long.

  • 6-12 inches tall and 12-24 inches wide at maturity
  • Annual except in zones 9-11, be sure to check your USDA zone to ensure success
  • Plant in part to full sun (4+ hours daily)
  • Space plants 8-12 inches apart for best results
  • Produces magenta flowers with a darker center from planting to hard frost
  • Maintains green foliage spring to frost
  • Great for combinations, containers, hanging baskets
  • Continuous blooming, long blooming, heat tolerant, deadheading not necessary

Care: Fertilize weekly with Proven Winners Water Soluble Plant Food for best performance. Pruning is not necessary but will help increase branching and may help your plants look even fuller. Calibrachoa do not like to have constantly damp soil because it can lead to root rot diseases. They will do well in the ground or raised beds with good drainage. For most gardeners containers are the best use for Calibrachoa, let the top few inches of soil dry before watering again.

I planted two of these beauties and they’re both doing well

I planted two of these beauties and they’re both doing well. One I planted alone in its own container. The other I planted with Dicondra Silver Falls and orange and red marigolds in a container and that one is doing well, too. In the future I’m going to plant them alone in their own containers because I love the simplicity. Another stellar plant from PE!
