Customers praised the heliotrope's "unreal" scent, beautiful cascading growth, and long blooming season into November. Many noted hardy plants that "performed beautifully" in full sun. However, shipping issues were common—damaged containers and broken plants arrived, with several not surviving transplant.

Aromagica® Purple Heliotrope (Heliotropium arborescens)

I absolutely loved this plant — and I’m not much of a purple person. I grew two in a 16-inch container and they cascaded beautifully over the edge, looking full and lush all season. The scent was unreal; I could smell it several feet away. We had some unusually extreme heat at the end of June (Chicago 5b/6a), and the heliotrope took a brief breather but bounced back once things cooled off — then kept blooming all the way into November. I did some light deadheading to keep things tidy though you don’t really have to. Would definitely grow this again.

Wow! Stunning!!😍

Excellent, long performer. Just keeps on going and going in NC. Rounding mound habit, would deadhead occasionally, still blooming in November

Gorgeous!!😍

Aromagica® Purple Heliotrope (Heliotropium arborescens)

I ordered two of these plants. They did so well I ordered several more…all are doing extremely well. They wintered over in my zone 10a garden and didn’t miss a beat. I highly recommend.

Both original plant and replacement plant died almost immediately. Do not seem to like shipping or transplant process, at all.

Thank you for sharing your review of your Aromagica® Purple Heliotrope. We're sorry to see this. We're happy to replace it with another plant or issue store credit if you wish. :) Please let us know which works best for you!

Doesn't have any scent that I can tell. Slow growing. The plants were smushed during transit and few have any purple flowers.

Product - mediocre- for the first time ever from PW and I blame FedEx - the box (which was clearly labeled "Up" with arrows) was delivered on it's side and the plants' containers were bent and cracked. The plants were damaged as well from the mishandling.

Mixed review

To be honest, I was disappointed. I ordered two plants. One was in good shape, the other was not. I hardened them off and planted them. One was looking good, the other never came back. I don't have a smart phone, so I could not get a picture. In the meantime, we had an unexpected cold night and the 'good' plant took a hit. I don't think I am going to have heliotrope this year. (And, by the way, they had no scent, in spite of having blooms.)

Thank you for taking the time to leave a review. We are sorry to hear about your experience with our Purple Heliotrope. We take quality control very seriously and we apologize for the disappointment and inconvenience this may have caused. Please reach out to our customer service team and we would be more than happy to assist you with a replacement or refund. Thank you for bringing this to our attention

Aromagica® Purple Heliotrope (Heliotropium arborescens)

I bought the purple Heliotrope. I was not impressed with the plants. I bought five; two were okay, and the other three looked awful. The pots were broken, and the plants were dead.
I love proven winners, but I will never mail an order from you again.

Thank you for sharing your review of your Aromagica® Purple Heliotropes. We're sorry to hear this and are happy to help! Please email us with photos of the plants and we can further assist you.

Heliotrope is one of my ‘must have’ plants. Several of my neighbors on both sides of my home have tracked the scent to my plants. They have been competing for limited local supplies. Wait until I tell them about your products!

Plants arrived beat up. They are starting to rebound but they arrived looking like they were picked over at home depot.
