Mojave Fuchsia has vivid dark pink flowers all season and succulent-like foliage. It is heat, drought, and salt-tolerant, attracts pollinators, and does not require deadheading. Use in pots, window boxes, baskets, and as a ground cover. The flowers of Portulaca will close at night and reopen the next day.
  • 4-8 inches tall and 12-16 inches wide at maturity
  • Annual except in zones 10-11, be sure to check your USDA zone to ensure success
  • Plant in full sun (6+ hours daily)
  • Space plants 8-10 inches apart for best results
  • Produces fuchsia-pink flowers from planting to frost

Care: Fertilize weekly with Proven Winners Water Soluble Plant Food for best performance. The flowers of Portulaca will close at night and reopen the next day. They will tolerate dry soils, although they will perform optimally with average moisture. These are tough plants that will tolerate poor soils and do not need a lot of fertilizer to perform well. Deadheading is not needed.

I love the fuchsia purslane I ordered from PED. I have had it in a few spots (container) since I received it. Right now I have it on a plant stand outside my kitchen window where I can easily see it blooming when I walk into the kitchen.

I just love this so much. You can buy other purslane, but they don't perform as well as this Proven Winner variety by far. I really hope for more colors!!
