Sunstar Red displays large clusters of red flowers on dark green foliage all season. Pentas is best grown in good, moist soil, but it can tolerate poorer soils as well. It attracts pollinators, does not require deadheading, and is disease resistant.

Care: Deadheading is not necessary for continued bloom, prune to shape as desired. Pentas is best grown in good, moist soil, but it can tolerate poorer soils as well. They prefer a pH close to 7, so consider amending soil with pelletized lime if planting in an area with highly acidic soil. They are quite heat tolerant. Fertilize weekly for best performance.
