Blue Chiffon produces large blue-lavender flowers each adorned with a lacy center to create an anemone-like bloom that stands out in late summer to early fall. Refined, rounded habit with soft, elegant stems, that produces few to no seeds. It is heat, drought, and salt tolerant, deer resistant, and attracts pollinators to boot! Whether you plant one striking specimen or mix and match for a colorful collection, you will see that Chiffon series Roses of Sharon are anything but conventional.
Care: Fertilize with Proven Winners® Continuous Release Plant Food in spring and midsummer. Requires well-draining soil. Regular pruning is not necessary. If any shaping is desired, do so in early spring. Note that Rose of Sharon is quite late to leaf out in spring, so be patient with it.
Shipping Info:
I appreciated the prompt service, but I was disappointed that the Rose of Sharon was only about six inches tall with only a few chewed leaves. I ordered another color from another company and it was over twice that size and was covered with buds.
Thank you for sharing your review of your Blue Chiffon® Rose of Sharon. We're sorry to see this! We're happy to replace it or issue store credit if you wish. :) Please respond to this email and let us know which works best for you!
Sincerely,
PWD Team
I ordered 4 gallon size Rose of Sharon shrubs. Because of late week ordering, it took four days since no delivery on Sunday. I was worried about shipping length of time but was amazed at the care in packing, moist soil and not one wilted leaf. I will definitely order from this company again. I repotted immediately for more growing time. There are buds on the shrubs.
Thank you for sharing Garden Friend! Happy Spring, Enjoy!!
