The Surefire® Cherry Cordial™ is a plant of striking colors. Cherry red flowers with bright yellow centers sit atop thick-stemmed, deep brown foliage that looks nearly black in the right lighting. Not only is it beautiful, but it’s quite hardy as well!

  • 12-24 inches tall and 18-24 inches wide at maturity
  • Annual except in zones 10-11, be sure to check your USDA zone to ensure success
  • Plant in sun or shade
  • Space plants 12-18 inches apart for best results
  • Produces vibrant red flowers from planting to frost
  • Maintains red-black foliage spring through frost
  • Great for borders, containers, landscapes, mass plantings
  • Heat tolerant, long blooming, deadheading not necessary, foliage interest

Care: Fertilize weekly with Proven Winners Water Soluble Plant Food for best performance. They can tolerate some drought conditions but will look their best with more consistent moisture and regular feeding.

Really great dark colored foilage that contrast the flowers red flare. Plants arrived n great condition. The leaves are much larger than older wax types and seem less susceptible to breaking. The plants were budded and ready to show off! Exceptional begonia variety!

It was an ok experience. Definitely on the fence if I'd do it again. It was not packaged well. It looked as if it were thrown down a tube into the box, it was half way in and half way out, looked to be in shock. It hasn't progressed nearly as much as I had hoped it would by now. Arrived mid May, doing the review Aug 1st, in zone 4.

Beautiful looking leaves. Like these more so than the light green leaf begonias. A real POP against other plants. I keep mine just damp. Always with blooms. I put several in a tall lime green colored pot.
