Customers praised these hydrangeas for arriving "green and well watered" with "excellent quality" and healthy roots. Most noted compact, full plants with thick foliage that establish well. However, one customer received a dried-out specimen with brown leaves, requiring extra care. Packaging and speedy delivery were consistently commended.

Disappointing. I expected better from the direct source. I did not receive a healthy, live plant. Plant arrived completely dried-out and in rough shape. Many of the leaves were brown, dry, and shriveled. And no, not like normal shed from going dormant for the season. Although there’s a lot of damage/stress to the plant, I’m hoping there’s enough life left to revive it next season. Extra care will be required. Thankfully I got this on sale. I was considering ordering a large number of them next season for a garden project, but given this experience, I won’t risk the money. The packaging was good and solid. This experience took 8 calendar days from order to delivery. Photo was taken 8 days after receipt and much watering. I do own many other Proven Winners plants and they thrive. This was just an unfortunate experience.

I received two plants to replace two new plants I had planted in spring that didn’t make it (from another nursery). What I immediately notice is that my new Proven Winners are much more compact and and thick with leaves compared to the other hydrangeas. The Proven Winners look so much better. I haven’t watered daily to establish them and they still look fresh and full. They are definitely superior specimens!

Thank you for sharing!! We're so happy to hear that you are enjoying your plants!

I t came in excellent condition and after a few tries we found a perfectly sunny spot for the pot it’s in. Now, our hope is to grow it to look like the picture we saw in the PW web site.

They are planted and so far so good…fingers crossed as I am in zone 9b but have them planted where they are more protected from hot sun.

Peggy,

Thank you for sharing!

We're happy to hear your plants are thriving, enjoy :)

We recommend planting these within an area with partial sun(4 hours per day) for best results for your location, as this shrub is not guaranteed hardy in zone 9.

While the plants certainly had a rough journey with a few broken branches, all four took just fine after I planted them. They’re all looking healthy and well. Now it’s on me to keep them watered and mulch them in nicely for the winter. I’m expecting solid growth on them next year.

I received my pinky winky prime in perfect condition. It is a big healthy plant. Our temperatures have been over 100 and it has even kept all its leaves. I can’t wait until it cools off so I can plant it in its spot for spring.

Thank you for sharing!! Enjoy :)

Pinky Winky Prime® Panicle Hydrangea (paniculata)

I received all six of my Pinky Winky Prime plants through the mail, 5 of them were in their pots when they arrived. They all looked healthy. One was outside of its pot and a little twisted and flat. I inspected them all and they all seem to be okay , there were a few broken stems but I cut them off. I planned them all and watered them and they I really doing fine. One does look a little flat but is still healthy.
