A Gardenia you can depend on! Steady as She Goes® gives you everything you need - heat tolerance, cold hardiness, and best of all, continuous blooming. Its fully doubled flowers do not fall off in the heat of summer, but just keep coming right up until frost. A stellar performer with a well-branched, compact habit and glossy dark evergreen foliage.

  • 2.5-3 feet tall and 3-4 feet wide at maturity
  • Hardy in zones 7-10, be sure to check your USDA zone to ensure success
  • Plant in part to full sun (4+ hours daily)
  • Space plants 3-4 feet apart for best results
  • Produces fragrant white flowers throughout spring and summer
  • Maintains dark green, glossy foliage year-round
  • Blooms on old wood
  • Great for borders, containers, landscapes, low hedges, or as a focal point
  • Resists deer
  • Evergreen, heat tolerant, low maintenance, long blooming

Care:  Fertilize with Proven Winners Continuous Release Plant Food in spring and mid-summer. Prefers moist, acidic soil. Pruning is rarely needed. You can cut dead wood out in or prune to shape in the late spring.
