Violet Knight displays bright purple blooms and a yellow eye. With an array of tiny flowers making up a larger ball-shaped bloom, Violet Knight adds unique movement and texture to your landscape and container combinations. It is heat tolerant, incredibly fragrant, and attracts bees and butterflies, all while producing magnificent blooms all season long! 

  • 8-12 inches tall and 18-24 inches wide at maturity
  • Annual except in zones 9-11, be sure to check your USDA zone to ensure success
  • Plant in part to full sun (6+ hours daily)
  • Space plants 12-18 inches apart for best results
  • Produces fragrant violet flowers from planting to hard frost
  • Maintains green foliage spring through frost

Care: Fertilize weekly with Proven Winners Water Soluble Plant Food for best performance. Prefers evenly moist soil. While plants shouldn't need to be trimmed back, you can prune to shape as desired.

Poor thing

Poor thing. It was dead 6 days after arrival.
After watering, I put it outside in dappled shade the first day and kept it there (with watering). On the 5th day I planted it and by day 6 it was lifeless. On the upside, everything else I received in that order has done very well and are lovely.

They both died from the way they were shipped. Most of the dirt was gone. I called and then responded to an email you sent asking about the problem. Haven't heard back. I don't have a picture as I threw them away since it was 3 weeks ago.

Arrived soaking wet. DOA on arrival. Went ahead & planted hoping they would come back but didn't. Root ball just too wet. All my other plants I ordered looked great on arrival. They're thriving to date.

Sadly- I ordered 4 and they all look dead. I planted them in a pollinator garden. I’m hoping they come back in a few weeks. I’m still watering them and trying to baby them. We will see.

Terrible! I had ordered about 6 of these in the spring, and they came in beautifully. I love them so much, I ordered 12 more, but by this time it was hot in my zone 6B, and the next batch came baked alive and crushed by FedEx. Proven Winners graciously sent 12 more, only to have the same thing happen. It appears the plants sit in a baking hot truck overnight, and by the time they arrive, they are too damaged to recuperate. So, these are a great plant, but only order them to be delivered in early spring before it gets hot!

Plants arrived well packaged. Within a short time they were in the ground and several weeks later, they have flushed out nicely with lovely tiny purple flowers. I am sure each plant will continue to grow larger as the season progresses.
