Bring endless color to your garden with Let's Dance® Blue Jangles® Hydrangea. Known for blooming on both old and new wood, this hydrangea guarantees an abundant display of flowers every season. Its compact size is perfect for smaller spaces, while its vibrant flower heads offer deep blue hues in acidic soils and bright pink shades in alkaline soils. With its tight habit and continuous blooming, Let’s Dance® Blue Jangles® provides a reliable and colorful addition to any landscape or container garden.

  • 1-2 feet tall and 2-3 feet wide at maturity
  • Hardy in zones 5-9, be sure to check your USDA zone to ensure success
  • Plant in part to full sun in northern climates and part sun (4+ hours daily) in southern climates
  • Space plants 2-3 feet apart for best results
  • Maintains green foliage spring through summer
  • Produces blue, pink or purple flowers depending on soil pH from early summer to fall
  • Blooms on new and old wood
  • Great for borders, cut flowers, dried flowers, landscapes, or as a focal point
  • Rebloomer, long blooming, salt tolerant, heat tolerant

Care:  Fertilize with Proven Winners Continuous Release Plant Food in spring and mid-summer. Pruning is not generally recommended. Although its flower buds are formed on both old wood and new wood, any cuts will impact its flowering potential. Dead or damaged wood can be removed at any time, just cut back to a set of leaves. If you’d like to prune to shape the plant, this can be done when the plant is starting to break dormancy in late winter or early spring, just look for swelling green leaf buds. Deadheading can be done after bloom, just follow the stem down to the first set of leaves and cut ¼ of an inch above them. Soil pH affects flower color, expect pink blooms in alkaline soils and blue to purple blooms in acidic soils where aluminum is present.

Growing fast! The hydranges were carefully packed and in great shape. They are beautiful green leaves. The deer have been nibbling on the leaves a little bit. I am very happy with this order- I purchased 2 -4.5 inch quart - Let’s Damce Blue Jangles.

The hydrangea plants arrived bushy and in great condition except they all had GNATS

Thank you for sharing your review of your Let's Dance® Blue Jangles® Reblooming Hydrangeas. It is not uncommon for plants to have gnats since they nest in the soil. Are your hydrangeas growing ok so far?

Well, today, a BIG truck pulled into my driveway, and to my surprise they unloaded four beautiful LET"S DANCE hydrangeas that were full of potential blooms and lovely leaves. They had to have traveled a long distance, and they were very happy to get to their destination. The plants are fantastic.....blooms everywhere!!!! You folks are something special!

Thank you for sharing!! We're so happy to hear that you are enjoying your plants!

Absolutely beautiful shrub. After five extra days in transit due to our local Fedex office being completely awful, making ten transit days total, somehow this hydrangea arrived looking better than expected. I have been babying it with lots of watering and shade to acclimate it back to brighter light, and it looks fantastic! Deep green leaves and tons of buds. I hope to get it into the ground soon and expect blooms shortly thereafter.

Thank you for your review! 😊

I purchased two Let's Dance Blue Jangles hydrangeas at which time they had beautiful blue flowers. The next spring one stayed blue and the other turned into a pink lace cap. It has continued to bloom this way for the past three years while the other one continues to have blue blooms. I had to buy another Let's Dance Blue Jangles last year and it is bloomng blue. No one can explain this phenomenon to me. Thank for taking the time to read my comment.

Hi Barb,

Thank you for reaching out, we are happy to help! Aluminum availability determines the flower color. Although color change is usually attributed to soil pH, it is actually aluminum that causes the change. If aluminum is present in the soil, the flowers will be blue. In the absence of aluminum, the blooms will be pink. One area of your yard likely has more aluminum than the other. Here is a very helpful guide on how to turn hydrangeas blue:

Sincerely,
PWD Team
