Gatsby Pink® Oakleaf Hydrangea (quercifolia)

Plants looked smaller than quart size shown, but after planted they bounced back fast and grew great new leaves. Currently hoping they survive the northern IL winter.

Showed up very healthy and a good size

The hydrangea arrived and are doing well. I was disappointed because of the 4 plants I ordered (2 separate orders) all were damaged in shipment. Although clearly noted on the shipping boxes “this side up” it was clear the plants were shipped up-side-down. In all cases the crowns were broken.
I do recommend purchasing these plants. They are on the way to becoming beautiful .

I ordered 6 plants. One broke in shipping and proven winners direct was so quick and easy to replace it with a new plant. The rest all looked very happy and healthy. I would reorder from them again!!

Arrived in great condition and quickly. Have them in the ground for a few weeks now and showing great signs of growth.

This plant was a little on the small side and the root system was very established at all but I repotted it and it is finally starting to leaf out.

The first shrub came delivered smashed and broken. I sent pictures to PW , A new plant was sent to me ASAP!!

Excellent! I planted six Gatsby pink Oakleaf hydrangeas five years ago. This year two of them suddenly died, the others are huge and beautiful. I was so glad to find this hydrangea available with proven winners, and I was not disappointed with the price or the high quality of the plants that I received in short order. Now I just have to wait to see their growth, but I don’t expect anything but a beautiful bush.

This was a present for my daughter it arrived in perfect condition and is in the mud room till the spring. The leaves are beautiful and can't wait to see it in the ground.

The plant arrived in great condition and was much larger than I expected. It’s a little bit of a risk for our growing zone (10b) but we’ve picked a spot in our garden where we expect it to acclimate well. I’ve not seen these in our local garden center so wish us luck that we can help GP thrive in our garden.

The first Gatsby Pink was packaged upside down and arrived very damaged. Your great customer service was able to send a replacement in record time!

I ordered 6 of these. What I received were half sticks sticking sideways from their pots. One was growing so sideways that it had to be packaged with the pot laying down so the plant would be upright. I can’t even explain it. I’ve never been sent such ill-grown plants. They didn’t offer a thing when I reached out.

I have been wanting one of these for so long and my two plants are like a dream come true ♥️ ! The weather has really been testing my patients I've had to keep them covered what a lot from the freezing temperatures at night but I finally got them painted out and they've stayed looking great for two weeks having to wait looking like they're even healthier maybe more acclimated. But they look really happy and their new spot even though it's not the best of weather still pretty cool temperatures and I got a good brain can't wait to see what they do.

Disappointed I the size and condition

One of the three plants are smaller than pictured on website on said 5-8 inches, I receive one of plant is3 inches the other are just like pictured shown on website,but they said replacement is on its way, so hopefully 🤞 it will arrive soon. This is my second Year that order plants from proven winner Direct.

I was really looking forward to my quart size Gatsby, but unfortunately this size sold out. On the plus side, the rest of my order was perfect upon delivery!

My new Gatsby Pink Oakleaf Hydrangeas arrived well packaged and looking great from their trip to Tennessee. They are planted, watered in and mulched. They have been in the ground for nearly a week and are adjusting well with no visible signs of stress.

So far, good. The quart size is small, as expected and like the rest of the country, it is extremely hot here now. I potted it up into a 2-1/2 quart container & am going to keep it where I can control the water & sun until fall. Also, I have a little garden rejuvenation going on now, so when that is finished, I’ll have a better idea of the exact spot for it. Some leaves were tattered with brown edges, so I think a little TLC will be good. I know this is a great, hearty, big shrub for my area, and it resists deer better than most hydrangeas, so I’m looking forward to getting it in the landscape. Very good service from PW.
