Bright Lights™ Horizon™ Sunset African Daisy is aptly named, drawing from the soft purple petals that slowly fade into a peachy-orange as they reach outward. It does well in hot areas and is a great choice for both planters and the landscape.

  • 8-12 inches tall and 10-18 inches wide at maturity
  • Annual except in zones 9-11, be sure to check your USDA zone to ensure success
  • Plant in part to full sun (4+ hours daily)
  • Space plants 6-10 inches apart for best results
  • Produces flowers in shades of salmon-orange and lavender-blue from planting to hard frost
  • Maintains green foliage in a mounding habit spring through frost
  • Great for borders, containers, edging, landscapes, mass planting
  • Heat tolerant, long blooming, deadheading not necessary, fall interest

Care: Fertilize weekly with Proven Winners Water Soluble Plant Food for best performance. Bright Lights do not like having wet feet and will react badly to constantly wet soil. Be sure to allow the soil in containers to dry on top before watering and only plant in beds with good drainage. While it shouldn't be necessary you can trim your plants at any time.

African Daisy praised for "beautiful" sunset colors and vibrant blooms. Customers said plants arrived healthy with "excellent" packaging and fast delivery. However, some received poor quality plants that were "half dead" or had root rot. Easy to care for and grows well when healthy, but arrival condition varies significantly.

Let me tell everyone a story: I ordered plants from about five different retailers this past week and a half— proven winners were the last ones I ordered from and they were the first ones to arrive. The plants are exactly what they were advertised as and I’m extremely happy with this experience.

This was just the plant I was looking for. It makes a nice pop of color at the front corner of my flower bed. Here’s hoping that it will survive the summer heat.

We are so happy to hear that your plant order has arrived!! Be sure to share photos later in the season. <3

I received my plants on time. They were black and welted. I contacted Customer Service with a picture. Sarah emailed me back. She said there was an issue with the plants and provided a solution. My plants are being replaced with a different color. They should be arriving on 9/5.

Unfortunately my experience with this beautiful daisy wasn't the best. I thought it was doing okay but it is now slowly failing to live. I'm not sure what happened to it.

The plants came and they were extremely dried out. It seems that they were scheduled
To be delivered by Fed ex three days in a row and they kept postponing it.
I know proven winners sent perfect plants, however it seems that fed ex never delivers in a timely manner or without damage.
I should be able to nurse them back to good health.

Thank you for sharing. We're sorry to hear this and happy to help! Please, respond to this email with a photo of their current condition.
