Bloomerang® Ballet™ lilac is reminiscent of a graceful ballerina, exquisitely showcasing its robustness and perseverance. Spring brings forth a profusion of delicate baby pink blooms, followed by a brief pause in early summer before enchanting with a second blooming spectacle in late summer to fall. This is the most resilient rebloomer in our collection, displaying excellent resistance to disease. Its foliage is just as delightful as its flowers, making it a desirable choice for cut flower gardens. It pairs wonderfully with other flowers or stands elegantly on its own as a singular arrangement.
- 3-4 feet tall and wide at maturity
- Grow in zones 3-7
- Plant in full sun (6+ hours daily)
Our deciduous shrubs are entering their natural dormancy phase. As part of this process, foliage is turning colors, drying out, and falling off—this is completely normal! Shedding leaves helps the plants conserve energy and prepare for the next growing season. Rest assured, your shrubs will wake up and thrive again when it's time in your growing zone. Dormancy is how they prepare for a healthy, vibrant comeback as the seasons change!
Care: Fertilize with Proven Winners Continuous Release Plant Food in spring and early summer.
It requires well-drained soil; lilacs cannot tolerate soggy, wet conditions. Prune immediately after its spring bloom, if desired. Never cut it back in fall, winter, or early spring - doing so will remove the spring flower buds. It is not necessary to prune Bloomerang® lilacs in order for them to re-bloom.
