The White Chiffon® Rose of Sharon is a stunning addition to any garden, showcasing crisp white, anemone-like double blooms that bring elegance and beauty throughout the summer. Its floriferous nature ensures weeks of vibrant, eye-catching flowers lining each long branch, creating a spectacular display. With its graceful, upright habit, this hardy shrub thrives in tough landscape conditions, offering low-maintenance appeal and exceptional performance. The White Chiffon® is a perfect choice for those seeking a reliable, high-impact plant that requires minimal care while delivering a striking, enduring show of blooms all season long.

  • 8-12 feet tall and 6-10 feet wide at maturity
  • Hardy in zones 5-9, be sure to check your USDA zone to ensure success
  • Plant in full sun (6+ hours daily)
  • Space plants 6-10 feet apart for best results
  • Produces double white flowers throughout summer
  • Maintains dark green foliage spring to frost
  • Blooms on new wood
  • Great for borders, containers, screening, landscape, mass planting or as a focal point
  • Attracts bees, butterflies and hummingbirds while resisting deer
  • Heat, drought and salt tolerant, long blooming, low maintenance

Care: Fertilize with Proven Winners Continuous Release Plant Food in spring and mid-summer. Requires well-draining soil.   Regular pruning is not necessary. If any shaping is desired, do so in early spring. Note that Rose of Sharon is quite late to leaf out in spring, so be patient with it.

My Rose of Sharon bushes came this Spring. Some of the leaves were splotchy and light green. When I planted them, I gave them a little iron. They are both blooming now and have grown. If I had purchased locally, I would’ve picked two plants the same size. In order for me to order again, it will have to be for something I can’t get locally.

I got my delivery and was so disappointed ant the treatment of the package. It was upside down on my porch. When I turned it over to open it I noticed soil spilling out. Not a big deal I thought. Looks like the delivery person was tossing the box around even with the caution markings on the outside. I think I lost one plant. The other three are struggling even though most of the leaves had fallen off or were knocked off the plants. One even presented me with a beautiful bloom even though it is in bad shape. I'm babying them along to see if they will fully recover.
