Create and maintain your garden faster than with a traditional shovel, using less effort, with our Twist ‘n Plant Extended Gardening Auger. Easy to use, solid steel with glossy white enamel coating, this is the best tool to dig holes for small plants, bulbs, and removing weeds. For use in any electric or cordless drill that can accommodate a 3/8" bit.

  • 5” x 15” spiral auger
  • Plant large potted perennials and shrubs
  • Rugged 5/8-inch shaft with 10-gauge flighting
  • We recommend using with 18V cordless drill. Drill not included.
  • The JUMBO will NOT work in a 3/8" drill. Please see picture as a guide to determine if your drill is 1/2" or 3/8" .

Care Tips: Though this auger will power through loose rocky material, do not attempt to drill through solid rock as it will dull the tip. Rinse auger clean after use. A thin coating of vegetable oil will prevent rust buildup.

Auger Safety

  • Call Miss Dig #881 before using auger
  • Never use auger at high drill speed
  • Use clutch on drill to avoid drill spin or kickback
  • Serious injury may result in misuse of auger

PLEASE FOLLOW THE INCLUDED QUICK START GUIDE INSTRUCTIONS. Wear protective eyewear when using this tool. Do not wear loose clothing or jewelry that could catch on the auger. Operate at a slow speed to prevent accidents. Go slow and drill at the slowest setting. Set the clutch of the drill per the manufacturer's specifications to prevent wrist injury, especially in hard soils.

PW Augers are a Girl's Best Friend!

It is wonderful to use, however, be careful that if you are using it in rocky clay soil that you use a drill with a stabilizer bar so your wrists don't **** around if you hit the big rocks. We have such rocky soil here in Central Texas and it takes some heavy duty work to plant. I love all of my Proven Winners Augers and have them in most of the sizes from 2"-9". They make the work so much easier in the hot weather and I have been able to plant hundreds and hundreds of plants, instead of just a few now that I have relied on getting good clean reliable holes in seconds, rather than minutes or hours. I will never go back to hand digging again. Dogs may be a boy's best friend, but Proven Winners Augers are a girl's best friend (and of course dogs aand diamonds!!)

Not For The Weak Of Wrist

This auger is a brute and gets the job done. You’re going to need a drill capable of chucking it and I strongly suggest a screw in side handle too. It won’t drill trough roots and rocks so keep a narrow bladed shovel handy for that eventuality. Larger holes can be excavated by wallowing out the original hole. It’s a huge time saver for popping in one gallon perennials and all plants in smaller sizes. Beware of buried pipes, wires and treasure. Good luck planting and don’t forget amendments if needed!
