Tortuga naturally grows as a low-mounded groundcover, with pleasing emerald-green foliage. It is a tough, sun-loving evergreen that transforms difficult spots into a carpet of green. It is salt, heat, and drought tolerant once established and is deer resistant and native to North America.

  • 2 feet tall and 3-4 feet wide at maturity
  • Grow in zones 2-7
  • Plant in full sun (6+ hours daily)

Care: Little to no pruning is needed; remove select branches to shape or manage growth if necessary. Fertilize every spring with Proven Winners Continuous Release Plant Food.

Waiting to wake up

I love this plant and put it in a spot as suggested that is barren, sunny and dry and am watering plenty. I am hoping it will get growing but is very green!
