Multiple order of 8 shrubs. I first ordered Beyond Pink'd and Beyond Midnight Caryopteris. Due to up potting and not being well rooted in most of the soil was dumped out of the pots during shipping. Needless to say I lost most of the plants in the order. They were good about replacing them but both of the Caryopteris were out of stock so I settled on Sunshine Blue as a replacement. It is a huge disappointment. It's very yellow foliage, which I don't care for. But the way it is growing is the worst disappointment. It is spreading all over the ground and has grown much larger than the tag states and is taking over the entire area including the re-blooming Bloomerang Purpink Lilac...which has hardly grown at all. The pictures of and description do not show or mention that Sunshine Blue has that growth habit. However when I researched it on Youtube videos (after mine started growing that way) it shows that it does. Unless I find out that I can trim all the branches that are spreading along the ground so I can control and contain it it will probably have to be moved to a different spot or disposed of. I hate disposing of plants but the grown habit of Sunshine Blue Caryopteris is very unruly and un-attractive to me. I must say I am disappointed in this Proven Winners plant and suggest to anyone thinking about ordering it to first research it's growth habit.

I like these caryopteris. The plants were very nice, but I had to harden them off a bit and then the big heat dome hit! So I gave them partial shade with burlap until the weather improved. They seem to be doing well now. Hopefully, they will continue to do well. I usually have very good luck with caryopteris and no critters want to eat them.

These are hit or miss as to whether they make it through our severe winters & frosty springs in central IL — but love them & keep replanting this hardy variety — well packaged & arrive healthy.

I ordered several flowering shrubs this spring. I am impressed with the quality and size of what I received. I ordered the quart sizes and they were fully leafed out and very healthy. I recommend them highly.

I planted three of these bluebeards in the fall of 2022. None of them returned in 2023. They were in full sun and I had my hopes up.
