  • 60-66 inches tall and 48-54 inches wide at maturity
  • Hardy in zones 4-9, be sure to check your USDA zone to ensure success
  • Plant in part to full sun (4+ hours daily)
  • Space plants 48-54 inches apart for best results
  • Produces "dinner-plate" flowers in a lavender blue shade starting in summer and lasting into fall
  • Maintains rich green foliage in an upright, column-like habit from late spring to frost
  • Great for borders, landscapes, focal points, rain gardens, bogs
  • Attracts bees, butterflies while resisting deer
  • Native to North America, long blooming, fall interest, bog plant

Care: Hibiscus love the sun and need moist, well-drained soil. Keeping these plants watered will result in larger flowers and lush foliage. Deadheading will improve the appearance of the plant, but is not necessary for continued bloom. It is best to plant Hibiscus in the garden before the heat of the summer arrives, and should be heavily mulched the first winter. In spring, cut back any remaining stems before new growth appears. Do not trim back in fall. A strong pair of loppers or a saw will be necessary to cut this plant back. Be advised that Hibiscus is always one of the last perennials to emerge in spring. Be patient, even if you think it is dead, it most likely isn't. Its vigorous growth rate more than makes up for this late start, however. Japanese beetles find these plants especially delicious. Fertilize with Proven Winners® Continuous Release Plant Food in spring and midsummer.

Summerific® 'Lilac Crush' Rose Mallow (Hibiscus hybrid)

This is second time we have gotten Hardy Hibiscus from Proven Winners Direct. The new ones are pretty new and so it's hard to tell what they're going to be like once they grow. The previous ones were fantastic, which is why we are going to try these new ones. We are looking forward to the green stems and leaves, with the gorgeous pink flowers. The first shipment was delivered late and those two didn't make it, so we're excited to try these out. Great plants, excellent customer service.

Thank you for sharing!! Enjoy!😊

Planted my Lilac Crush Hibiscus today

I just planted my Lilac Crush Hibiscus today. It looks to be on the small side and there are 2 blooms on it. It was packaged very well. I planted it in good garden soil and added Rose-Tone. I will be adding mulch on top. The color of the blooms are beautiful and I'm looking forward to seeing how it develops.
