The plant roots were very dark

The plant roots were very dark, but now one month later, the plant has put out lovely new growth. I had contacted customer support and was reassured me that dark roots were not abnormal for this plant. They were right. :)

They appear to be doing well.

They appear to be doing well, but one is starting to have a couple of yellow leaves. We are watching them daily to see what happens.

Simply Scentsational® Sweetshrub (Calycanthus floridus)

This is my first time planting a Sweetshrub. It arrived in great condition and was very lush and full. It is doing great in it's new home and is putting on new growth and settling in well. Can't wait to see it next season and experience the great fragrance this shrub is supposed to have when it's in bloom.
