Limp, Leggy twig of a Hosta

I was very excited for the arrival of my hosta. but, when I opened the box I was really disappointed. My first impression was a limp, leggy twig. I planted it immediately, since planting the leaves have turned yellow ( which I expected to happen with the temperatures in zone 8. The tiny supporting stalks are green which gives me hope that it just need to adjust. With some time, I am hoping it turns into the beautiful plant I wanted.
