'Serendipity' Ornamental Onion (Allium) boasts globe-like, rosy-purple flowers mid to late summer that top attractive blue foliage. The upright habit works as a thriller in containers and the landscape. Alliums are charming plants for the rock or herb garden. When the foliage is bruised, it smells like onions since they are in the onion family. Butterflies and honeybees adore the flowers' sweet nectar but deer and rabbits steer clear of this perennial beauty.

The shipping process was easy and efficient. One box was damaged that extended to the plant container being slit in multiple places. Both plants looked healthy with one being a beautiful mature root bound plant and the other less healthy and almost zero roots. I hope it lives.

I am extremely happy with my 'Serendipity' Allium. They came very well packaged with plastic over the pot to keep soil intact. I was impressed with how big, and healthy they were. I planted them straight away and gave them a nice long drink to them settled into their new home. I can't wait until they start blooming. Thanks, Proven Winners! I will definitely be ordering again soon.

I ordered these allium in early fall when the blooms were already gone, but the foliage looks very healthy, the root ball is nicely developed, and the shipping was packaged well. Can’t wait for next year to see the blooms!
