Lemony Lace produces big clusters of white flowers before the finely dissected, cheery gold foliage emerges that ages chartreuse. This deer-resistant plant has little to no maintenance required. It also has bright red fruit that is appealing, although not edible.
Lemony Lace reaches 3-5 feet tall and wide at maturity. It is hardy in zones 3-7, plant in part to full sun (4+ hours daily). Benefits from hard pruning as a young plant to develop a nice full habit. Older plants can be trimmed after flowering if desired. Fertilize with Proven Winners Continuous Release Plant Food in spring.
Our shrub 3-pack includes an auger! An auger is the best tool for digging holes for small plants, digging in clay soil, loosening soil, weeding, bulb planting, and more. Hex end prevents slippage & tightly grips drill-head for easy tilling.
1 gallon shrubs are 6-24 inches tall at shipment and quart shrubs are 5-8 inches tall at shipment depending on the season and plant.
Overall, it was a good experience. Two out of 3 Lemony lace broke in half when delivered. So, it looked quite bruised. The one with a stem still in place is doing really well. Perhaps because the plants were squished so tightly into the little box that they were packaged in? The limelight is beautiful and neatly packaged. No issues there!
I have not yet planted my elderberry as I have just received it. It arrived in good condition and can’t wait to see it perk up and take root. Very happy with my orders from proven winners.
