Graceful and quietly stunning, Rose Sensation™ brings a touch of refined beauty to shaded spaces. This distinctive climbing vine is perfect for training up trees, arbors, or north-facing walls, where its soft pink sepals offer a charming and unexpected display. Ideal for woodland gardens or naturalistic landscapes, this slow-growing selection rewards patience with a truly elegant presence. Though it takes time to establish, once settled, it offers delicate, lace-like blooms and textured foliage that add depth and interest to any shaded setting.

  • 40-50 feet tall and 4-7 feet wide at maturity
  • Hardy in zones 5-9, be sure to check your USDA zone to ensure success
  • Plant in part sun (4-6 hours daily)
  • Space plants 4-7 feet apart for best results
  • Maintains climbing green foliage from spring to frost
  • Produces showy pink flowers in summer
  • Attracts bees and butterflies
  • Blooms on old wood
  • Great for landscapes, containers or as a focal point
  • Heat tolerant, clay tolerant

Care: Fertilize with Proven Winners Continuous Release Plant Food in spring and mid summer.  Pruning is not generally recommended. Flower buds are formed on old wood, so any cuts will likely remove flowering potential. Dead or damaged wood can be removed at any time, just cut back to a set of leaves. If you’d like to prune to shape the plant, this can be done when the plant is starting to break dormancy in early spring or late winter, just look for swelling green leaf buds. Deadheading can be done after bloom, just follow the stem down to the first set of leaves and cut ¼ of an inch above them.
