In a perfect world, azaleas would bloom for months instead of just weeks and have big, full flowers with pure and true colors. That's exactly what Perfecto Mundo® azaleas do. Ground cover is very useful, but thankfully the Perfecto Mundo Carpet series is very pretty as well. The days of dreary plain green ground cover are over. With Perfecto Mundo Fuchsia Carpet® azalea, you’ll find a dense drift of color in the spring. It then reblooms heavily in the summer, like the rest of the Perfecto Mundo series.

  • 1-2 feet tall and 2-2.5 feet wide at maturity
  • Hardy in zones 6-9, be sure to check your USDA zone to ensure success
  • Plant in part sun to full sun (4-6+ hours daily)
  • Space plants 2-2.5 feet apart for best results
  • Maintains a low, miniature habit of green foliage year-round
  • Produces hot pink flowers throughout spring then reblooms after a brief rest in summer until frost
  • Blooms on new and old wood
  • Great for containers, edges, groundcover, landscapes, mass plantings, low hedges
  • Attracts bees, butterflies, and hummingbirds
  • Miniature habit, deadheading not necessary, heat tolerant, reblooming, fall interest
  • Shrubs shipped Nov-Apr will arrive dormant; shrubs shipped Apr-Oct will arrive green or in bloom

Care: Fertilize with Proven Winners Continuous Release Plant Food just as the new growth begins to emerge, and then again after the spring bloom is complete. Give the plant a light trim after its spring bloom, which encourages new growth - the more new growth it puts on after that spring bloom, the more rebloom you'll get.

A note on hardiness: Perfecto Mundo Fuchsia Carpet® azalea is hardy to USDA zone 6b, and is better suited to milder coastal areas of zone 6b than harsh Midwestern sites. If you wish to plant it in zone 6b, select a protected location and mulch well. Do not fertilize after mid-July in these areas. If you do wish to fertilize, do so in early spring, just as the new growth begins to emerge, and then again after the spring bloom is complete.

Reblooming azalea with mixed results. Customers said plants "arrived healthy" and some bloomed beautifully in warm climates. However, shipping issues caused concern: dry soil, lost leaves, and occasional plant loss. Growth is slow and blooming inconsistent. Size smaller than expected but survivors show promise with proper care.

The one plant that survived the journey is great

The one plant that survived the journey is great. The other—there was no plant. I did leave it in the pot and watered it for a week, but still nothing.

I planted 3 late last summer in Michigan (zone 6b). Only 2 out of the 3 made it. PW replaced the one that didn’t make it. However, none of them have bloomed a single flower despite giving them each continuous release fertilizer in the spring and in late July. They are all just very tiny green shrubs. I was really hoping for a pop of pink in my front flower bed.

Thank you for sharing your review of your Perfecto Mundo Fuchsia Carpet™ Reblooming Azaleas. We're sorry to hear this and are happy to help! Please reply to this email with photos of the plants and we can further assist you.

These plants are healthy and already blooming with our recent warm spell in December in Texas. Packaging was mostly good- although one plant was upside down in the package, but it seems to be surviving nonetheless.

Thank you for sharing your review of your Perfecto Mundo Fuchsia Carpet™ Reblooming Azaleas! Happy planting!

Disappointing. The four plants arrived but had lost most of their leaves, the soil was totally dry. It was an expensive purchase.

Thank you for sharing. We're sorry to hear this and happy to help! Please respond to this email with a photo of their current condition so we can further assist you.

They are still alive which is good because 3 out of 4 previous light pink carpet azaleas died in less than 6 months. The Fuchsia Carpet azaleas are not growing very much though.

Thank you for sharing. If your Azaleas do not end up doing well, please respond to this email with a photo of their conditions and we would be happy to help!

This plan arrived in beautiful condition and with an extremely pretty shape. I planted it in a great spot and it was doing very well. Sadly, a deer came into the bed and stepped on it, breaking off half of the young shrub, so only half remains. I’m so sad! I hope it will continue to thrive.

The six plants arrived in good condition. I planted them right away, but unfortunately, we received a light frost and it damaged all the plants. So I am waiting to see if they survive.
