Wee Bit Grumpy® Bigleaf Hydrangea (Macrophylla)

Wee Bit Grumpy displays pure, intense, saturated flower color and outstanding landscape performance. Bright red in neutral to alkaline soils and red-violet in acidic conditions. They appear amid a neat, tidy mound of compact foliage that resists disease and stands up better to cold weather than conventional hydrangeas. It reblooms all summer on dark green, glossy foliage.

Wee Bit Grumpy reaches 2-2.5 feet tall and wide at maturity, it is hardy in zones 5-9. Plant in part sun (4+ hours) in southern climates and part to full sun in northern climates. Fertilize every spring with Proven Winners Continuous Release Plant Food.

It's best to avoid pruning this type of hydrangea altogether. If portions of the plant were damaged from winter weather, they can be removed in spring when it is clear where the new growth is emerging. 

1 gallon shrubs are 6-24 inches tall at shipment and quart shrubs are 5-8 inches tall at shipment depending on the season and plant.
