Gatsby Moon® Oakleaf Hydrangea (quercifolia)

Arrived a little tired, but soaked it with some water and placed in the shade . Perked right up, planted the next day and seems to like it's new home. Looking forward to seeing what it does next year.

Absolutely lovely. I planted this one in the Spring this year and has its fall show on. I've planted 15 more during this summer's heat dome in zone 8a, and can't wait to have a hedge of this color next fall 🍁

I got the 1 gallon last winter with only a couple of leaves. I didn’t think they would bloom for the first summer, but they did! This is amazing!

This hydrangea arrived in great condition! I planted it within 2 days, and this baby has taken off, growing and now putting on flower bulbs. This is the second one I ordered and needless to say, the quality of the plant is priceless!!! Love it. I am a zone 8b, planted it where they receive 3 hours of morning sun and 2 hours of dappled sun. I have been having to water everyday due to temps being in upper 80's to 90's and humidity has been in the upper 80's at times as well!!! But all is absolutely great! Thanks again Proven Winners!!!

Just received it. First time was broken and PWD replaced with a healthier one. Can't wait until the Fall so I can plant in the landscape. PWD is the best customer service. I've been a customer for years and never had a problem.

This is my second Gatsby Moon Oakleaf Hydrangea from Proven Winners. The first one I ordered was four years ago and is growing beautifully. I purchased another to put behind the first one I purchased. This hydrangea is stunning and needs no attention. The blooms are big and bring many people who admire them. I highly recommend this Hydrangea to others who love hydrangeas.

Hydrangea Plants were beautiful! Size of plant awesome. They are growing beautiful in my zone 9b southern California garden. Very excited to see their blooms in spring. Great job proven winners direct!

Bought 1 and it took so well I had to buy 4 more. Very excited to watch these mature into part of a hedge.

The one gallon plants were very healthy and took well despite the late planting time in my zone 6b garden.

Beautiful healthy plants! Very well packaged. Can't speak to the performance but feel like their healthy appearance when received should lead to a beautiful plant come spring.

Bought this oakleaf for the tightly packed panicles. First one arrived in great shape and is establishing itself well in my Zone 6b.

Might even order more as I watch the leaves turn the burgundy wine color.

I have been searching for the Gatsby Moon Oakleaf hydrangeas for about 9 months. None of the local/regional plant stores had them. I finally saw the one gallon available from PWD. It didn’t take long to place the order when they were 35% off. The plants arrived in 3 days. I immediately opened them and watered them. August in the South is brutal!! One week later the plants are sprouting new leaves.

I ordered 5 of these hydrangea's just a few weeks after ordering a different kind. The first batch came in looking wonderful. These were disappointing. They have since been planted and are being carefully tended too. Just sent a picture today to see what Proven Winners thought of the way they currently look, I was told "Oakleaf Hydrangea often look poor this time of year (mostly black spots on leaves) but safe to plant. I'd remove the highly affected leaves" I will do as instructed as I know you stand behind things for 1 year but must admit I am leery. I have never had this type before and hope they perform next year

I’m not sure the packaging is the problem, but the shipper maybe. The arrows on the box all go one way and they were delivered upside down. The dirt fell out no big deal. I can put it back and I’m adding more anyway when I plant it. It’s the plant that I want to be solid and it was it wasn’t damaged. It wasn’t hurt. Can’t wait to get flowers on it! Love shopping With Proven Winners I get an explanation of each plant. I know the growing season and the growing height, I have all the information at my fingertips not at the store when I have to try to figure everything out from the card.

I have no fears ordering from Proven Winners Direct anymore! The plants arrived on time, very healthy, and securely packed for shipping. I will definitely order from Proven Winners Direct again!

Plant arrived with several buds. I placed outside for a couple of days and noticed the buds were blooming. I recently planted it and i have leaves now.

No problems with anything on the order. Plants were healthy and I planted them immediately. All are doing fine and exhibiting some new growth.

My plants arrived and the soil was gone from 4 of the pots. I planted them right away and I think they might be ok. I will probably not order again. I think I would rather just go to my local nursery

I have just received the plants 4 days ago - haven’t had a moment to put them in the ground yet—- but I’m nursing them. They look rough but I feel they will be fine. They were just very roughly cut and next year they will look much better. They do look hardy so I am not worried at all!

Plants came packaged very well and timely. I gave a 4 star review because I was very disappointed in the size. I was hoping that they would be the size in the video, unfortunately they were cut down to about a foot. I know they have taller boxes to ship products because I have received some. Hopefully it doesn’t take too long for them to grow.

This product arrived, quickly securely packaged. We placed them in a prepared planting bed. In a few days, young leaves started to emerge. We cannot wait to see what it looks like next growing season.
