Golden Ticket® displays glossy foliage that emerges bright yellow in spring and ages to chartreuse that will last through fall. It forms a dense, leafy wall that creates lots of privacy, and clusters of white flowers perfume the air in summer. This shrub has been favored in the past for screening off air conditioners or outdoor items however this variety is unique because it's the first non-invasive privet and won't spread in your garden! This deer-resistant and adapatble shrub is an excellent choice for low maintenance hedges, screening, and landscapes.

  • 4-6 feet tall and wide at maturity
  • Hardy in zones 5-9, be sure to check your USDA zone to ensure success
  • Plant in part to full sun (4+ hours daily)
  • Space plants 4-6 feet apart for best results
  • Maintains chartreuse foliage spring to frost
  • Produces clusters of fragrant white flowers in late spring
  • Blooms on old wood
  • Great for landscapes, screening, hedges and mass planting
  • Attracts bees and butterflies and resists deer
  • Non-invasive, drought tolerant

I ordered one of these last year in the gallon size. After it did so well, I got another couple this year also in the gallon size. I love the cheerful chartreuse foliage. I planted them on the western side of my house in Kentucky 7a where many plants have failed. The dry clay soil they are growing in previously showed no signs of life, like weeds wouldn’t even grow there. This shrub has transformed that area! I also love that it’s non-invasive. Though it’s grown mostly for foliage, it does have some very nice light green flowers in the spring. I have included photos of both the privet I got last year as well as one I got this year. I have trimmed the older, bushier one back a bit to make the sizes more similar. They take very well to shaping and trimming at any time as well.

So far, they seem to be fine. My Education & Agriculture Center for my zone, told me they needed to be removed because they were invasive. Thank GOD the team settled it for me. I’m a PW Fab4Life!!

After ordering from other suppliers and being very disappointed, my experience with PW restored my faith in ordering plants online. All plants were very healthy, packaged well and received on time. I’ll definitely use in the future.

we had purchased some of these beautiful shrubs before from a retailer. We wanted more but could not find them. They came carefully packaged to prevent damage, and the soil was still moist for transit. The value for price and free shipping was great. I only wish we could have purchased a larger size
