  • 28-30 inches tall and 24-28 inches wide at maturity
  • Hardy in zones 3-8, be sure to check your USDA zone to ensure success
  • Plant in full sun (6+ hours daily)
  • Space plants 24-28 inches apart for best results

Care: Easy to grow in full sun and well-drained soil. Avoid planting in rich soil. Once flowers have faded, cut the plant back by half. Fertilize with Proven Winners Continuous Release Plant Food in spring.

I ordered 3 of the gallon size. Shipping was pretty rough. I know that it is custom to cut them back for shipping. One looked good the other two looked like cooked spinach.
I planted all three and have been nursing them. Not sure of the outcome just yet.

Plants arrived damaged. I was told by PW. They should be fine and to plant them. For the price I paid they should not look like they were from they trash pile.

Plants were much larger than I thought when I got them. They have almost stopped blooming and ready to cut back. Deer don’t like them!!!Yeah. They are beautiful and will fill out nicely. I like them enough to get more in the future.

Plant was selected in part because it was said to be deer resistant.
That proved not to be the case. We were able to admire its beautiful flowers for a week or so before discovering that they had been devoured overnight. Salvaged the plant with an application of Liquid Fence Deer & Rabbit Repellant. Looking forward to next spring and a pre-emptive application of Liquid Fence

Peter, Thank you for sharing your experience!! I am sorry to hear this!! However, even “deer-resistant” does not mean it’s “deer-proof.” Deer will eat just about anything if they are hungry enough. I am happy to hear you have applied the application, I also recommend applying around the perimeter of your yard to keep deer away from your plants. :) Best Regards!!
